本篇故事承接前作《格桑花开的时候》，江若婷为老师责任越来越重，面临的考验也越发升级。她不仅遇到老司机的不断骚扰，还有金主爸爸提出的两难选择，老顽童郭爷爷的多次整蛊，笨贼对善款的虎视眈眈……象征幸福的格桑花能否陪伴江老师度过重重难关呢？。在一个充满紧张气氛的拍摄现场，导演试图拍摄一部恐怖电影，却对任性的演员们无能为力。与此同时，六个陌生人突然出现，讲述了他们的故事，并解释说他们是一个死去的编剧留下的剧本中的人物。导演起初嘲笑这些陌生人，但逐渐被他们讲述的故事所吸引。。When a casino owning dog named Charlie is murdered by his rival Carface, he finds himself in Heaven basically by default since all dogs go to heaven. However, since he wants to get back at his killer, he cons his way back to the living with the warning that doing that damns him to Hell. Once back, he teams with his old partner, Itchy to prep his retaliation. He also stumbles on to an orphan girl who can talk to the animals, thus allowing him to get the inside info on the races to ensure his wins。
