俄罗斯版《大事件》由瑞典导演安德斯·班克（Anders Banke）执导，班克在莫斯科的电影学院念书，并且能够讲一口流利的俄语，他曾经导演《致命吸血鬼》，正是这部电影中透出的才华让俄罗斯制片公司看中，选择其拍摄《大事件》，这也是俄罗斯第一次翻拍香港电影。从公布的剧照、预告片来看，整部电影营造的警匪对抗的紧张气氛更为浓厚，另有不少爆炸戏份。。At the beginning of the season Sylvia becomes pregnant with Andy's child. A baby boy, Theo, is born towards the end of the season. This is contrasted with the fate that awaits Sipowicz's older son, Andy Jr., who announces that he is to join the police force.
