Restoration carried out by the National Museum of Singapore and the World Cinema Foundation. In association with the Konfiden Foundation and Kineforum Jakarta Arts Council. The film was restored from the original print kept at the Indonesian Cinematheque. Special thanks to the family of Usmar Ismail.。父母双亡的白芷姐妹靠百家饭长大。为夺捐款，叔婶逼嫁妹妹，姐姐白芨代嫁受尽折磨。十年后白芷归来救姐打脸夫家，又阻叔叔挖坟欺辱。面对堂哥诈骗村民，白芷亮明身份强势反击，最终带领村民种植草药、兴建学堂，让女孩读书走出大山，彻底改变村庄命运。。
